Two young women, identified as Karoliny R.A. and Ana E.N., died in an accident on Friday night (17), in the Sepetiba neighborhood, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The victims were riding a motorcycle without helmets when they crashed into a bus that was making a left turn.

One of the victims, who was riding the motorcycle, died at the scene of the accident.

The other young woman, who was on the back of the bike, was rescued but died on admission to hospital.

BALIKPAPAN - A traffic accident involving two four-wheeled vehicles occurred in the area of Jalan Soekarno Hatta on the Balikpapan-Samarinda axis (Bukit Soeharto) on Thursday (5/16) at around 2:45 pm.

From the video footage circulating, the accident was caused by a white Grand Max car that drove off the road. Then from the opposite direction, a Pick Up car also drove and the collision was inevitable.

Police officers from the Bukit Soeharto area had shared video footage stating that both vehicle drivers were taken to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, the driver of the Pick Up car died.

"Info-info, does anyone know this car? The plate is KT 8178 MA. The driver died in an accident. Please help," he said.

Until now, the police are still waiting for the families of the accident victims. Meanwhile, the driver of the Grand Max with license plate DD 1828 SV was only seriously injured.

"The Grand Max driver did not die, but his hand was broken. Both have been taken to the hospital," he explained.

From Mediakaltim's investigation, the Pick Up car came from Balikpapan to Samarinda. On the other hand, the Grand Max car was traveling from Samarinda to Balikpapan. But unfortunately, this deadly accident occurred in the Kilometer 75 area.

"That Pick Up, the driver is my brother's friend, Min. He was going home to Samarinda. That's my brother's friend's car," said one of the social media accounts @kopidipagihari.

Another social media account, @hadiadi, said that at the time of the incident he and his colleague saw that the Pick Up driver was not moving in his vehicle.

"This was earlier. I saw for a while that the Pick Up driver had died after the accident. The Grand Max was still screaming," he said.

So far, this traffic accident case is still being investigated by the police.
