Rosarito, B.C. - On May 18, authorities of Rosarito responded to an emergency call in which a foreigner jumped from the sixth floor of the Rosarito Beach Hotel, causing her death when she hit the ground.

Authorities received the report of the case at 2:30 p.m., the person claimed to be suffering from terminal cancer, as stated by the President of the hotel's board of directors, Hugo Torres Ramirez, to the agents of the Secretary of Citizen Security of Playas de Rosarito, who followed up on the case.

Red Cross paramedics found that the woman's body no longer had vital signs, so they requested the presence for later delivery of the scene to the State Attorney General's Office so that they could finish the corresponding prosecution of this case.

Babahoyo: Security guard was murdered at his workplace

The victim worked at an importing company. The crime was recorded on a local camera.

the tranquility of the afternoon of this Thursday, May 17, 2024, was interrupted in the center of Babahoyo due to a tragic event. Erick Bryan Pico Figueroa, 28, known as Grifito, was murdered while working as a security guard at the Novoa importer, located on 5 de Junio Avenue, between 27 de Mayo and Abdón Calderón streets, in the center of the Rio capital.

According to the Chief of the Los Ríos Subzone N°12, Colonel William Calle, the violent action was recorded at 6:33 p.m., when a man arrived on a motorcycle and approached his target to shoot him repeatedly. “The robbery of the premises was ruled out. “We are scanning the cameras to determine the route the suspect took,” the commander declared.

Upon arriving at the scene, the agents found Pico Figueroa lying on the flowerbed, no longer vital, with multiple gunshot wounds, mainly to the head.

Calle indicated that the deceased had a history of possession of controlled substances in March 2017 and was carrying out his duties when he was attacked. The Criminalistics personnel raised more than four clues and the body was taken to the local morgue. The relatives of the deceased also arrived at the site, who began to cry as soon as they saw the body on the floor.

Two shot dead in Sangre Grande, Venezuelan woman wounded

A shooting at a popular club in Sangre Grande on Saturday morning claimed the lives of two persons while two others were shot. A female Venezuelan national was wounded.

Reports reveal around 3 am, the three persons were at a club 69 on the Eastern Main Road Guaico, Sangre Grande when the shooting took place.

Shot and killed were Ricky Roopnarine and Kendall Hodge.

Police officers attached to Sangre Grande Police and Homicide Officers Region 2 visited the scene.

Don't remember any context behind this except that this was most likely a homeless man, very high; who climbed a crane. doesn't seem like a suicide to me though more like an accident. Two young women, identified as Karoliny R.A. and Ana E.N., died in an accident on Friday night (17), in the Sepetiba neighborhood, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The victims were riding a motorcycle without helmets when they crashed into a bus that was making a left turn.

One of the victims, who was riding the motorcycle, died at the scene of the accident.

The other young woman, who was on the back of the bike, was rescued but died on admission to hospital.
