((I couldn't find the pictures of the burns, probably because no one was able to get pictures. There had also been two dogs present, but luckily they survived.))

On Sunday evening in Äänekoski, the Sumiainen's former observatory Harjula was completely destroyed in a fierce fire.

According to the rescue service of Central Finland, the house has been used as a residence, but there were no serious injuries in connection with the fire.

One of the residents of the house received minor burns during the initial extinguishing situation. The first aid has checked these burns.

Information about the fire came a little after half past seven on Sunday evening.

According to the rescue service of Central Finland, the 350 square meter house was in the stage of full fire when the rescue service arrived. Kellosaari describes the fire as massive and powerful.

It was no longer possible to put out the fire inside the house, but they concentrated on getting the fire under control and protecting other movables in the yard.

The fire also spread to the surrounding area, but other buildings were not in danger of catching fire.

The building was located on a high hill, i.e. in a very windy location. The fire engulfed the dry terrain around the house and caused burning embers to fly farther and ignite the terrain.

A total of several hundred square meters of land around the building has burned.

The fire was extinguished by 20 units and 40 rescuers.

The rescue service already has a good estimate of the cause of the fire of the former monitoring light. However, it cannot be said yet, because the police and the rescue service will investigate the cause of the fire in more detail on Monday.

It was reported on social media that the sounds of an explosion were heard from the house when the fire started. Kellosaari denies that the cause of the fire was an explosion or that there were any unusual explosions in the house during the fire.

"The phenomenon of fire includes dry wood banging, and also from broken windows there may be a sound that can sound like an explosion to an outsider's ear," the fire apartment states.
