A 45 year old woman has been arrested after the brutal murder of her sleeping 16 year old niece.

Colonel Sok Sarin, Inspector of Police Inspectorate of Bavel District, Battambang Province said that the murder took place at about 1:30 am on May 19, 2024 in Khnach Romeas Village, Khnach Romeas Commune, Bavel District, Battambang Province.

He stated that the premeditated murder was done by Pov Dary, female, 45 years old.

The suspect took an axe and killed her niece, 16-year-old Seng Kim Heang, while she slept.

The victim died at the scene.

Colonel Sok said that the murder occurred because the aunt was angry with the victim, talking on the phone and leaving the house too late at night.

Colonel Sok Sarin further stated that the suspect is currently being held in custody at the Bavel District Police Inspectorate, preparing to build a case to be sent to the specialized office of the Battambang Provincial Police to be sent to the Battambang Provincial Court to follow the procedure.

As he writhed on the ground, his body severed in half after being crushed by a truck, 23-year-old Harish Nanjappa had but one dying wish - to help others.

Mr Harish's selfless act has made headlines in India, earning praise from doctors astounded that someone who had suffered such a horrific injury could think with such clarity.

According to The Times of India, a speeding truck carrying bags of sugar had attempted to overtake Mr Harish's motorcycle on the National Highway 4 towards Bangalore on Tuesday (Feb 16) morning.

Local police said the truck brushed against the motorcycle, with the impact flinging Mr Harish under the truck's wheels. The lower half of his body was thrown a few feet away.

A video uploaded online showed Mr Harish moving his head and arms despite his injuries.

The Times of India reported that two ambulances arrived at the scene within eight minutes and rushed Mr Harish to hospital, but he died a few minutes after reaching the hospital.

The ambulance driver who took Mr Harish to hospital reportedly said the young man's dying request to him and paramedics in the ambulance was for his organs to be donated.

When we reached the hospital he was still conscious - even then he insisted that his organs be donated," the driver added.

The truck driver was subsequently arrested for causing death due to rash driving.

Mr Harish, who had been returning to Bangalore after visiting his hometown of Gubbi, has been described as a filial son who was intent on providing a better life for his family. He had secured a job at a logistics company in Bangalore a year ago.

"We've collected Harish's eyes as he was keen on donating his organs. It's astounding how a man who was split into two and lying on the road was able to think with such clarity," Dr Bhujang Shetty, chairman of the Narayana Netralaya hospital, told The Times of India.

"It's unheard of. He did not suffer head injuries because he was wearing a helmet."

It is not known how many of Mr Harish's organs were suitable for donation.

Dr Ajit Benedict Rayan, the medical director at Hosmat Hospital, added that it was possible for Mr Harish to survive if timely help had been rendered.

"The injury he suffered is called a crush injury, in which a person's bones, muscles, blood vessels and skin are separated from the body," he explained. "It is inhuman that so many vehicles passed by. Despite a Supreme Court order, people still refuse to help accident victims.

Rosarito, B.C. - On May 18, authorities of Rosarito responded to an emergency call in which a foreigner jumped from the sixth floor of the Rosarito Beach Hotel, causing her death when she hit the ground.

Authorities received the report of the case at 2:30 p.m., the person claimed to be suffering from terminal cancer, as stated by the President of the hotel's board of directors, Hugo Torres Ramirez, to the agents of the Secretary of Citizen Security of Playas de Rosarito, who followed up on the case.

Red Cross paramedics found that the woman's body no longer had vital signs, so they requested the presence for later delivery of the scene to the State Attorney General's Office so that they could finish the corresponding prosecution of this case.

Babahoyo: Security guard was murdered at his workplace

the tranquility of the afternoon of this Thursday, May 17, 2024, was interrupted in the center of Babahoyo due to a tragic event. Erick Bryan Pico Figueroa, 28, known as Grifito, was murdered while working as a security guard at the Novoa importer, located on 5 de Junio Avenue, between 27 de Mayo and Abdón Calderón streets, in the center of the Rio capital.

According to the Chief of the Los Ríos Subzone N°12, Colonel William Calle, the violent action was recorded at 6:33 p.m., when a man arrived on a motorcycle and approached his target to shoot him repeatedly. “The robbery of the premises was ruled out. “We are scanning the cameras to determine the route the suspect took,” the commander declared.

Upon arriving at the scene, the agents found Pico Figueroa lying on the flowerbed, no longer vital, with multiple gunshot wounds, mainly to the head.

Calle indicated that the deceased had a history of possession of controlled substances in March 2017 and was carrying out his duties when he was attacked. The Criminalistics personnel raised more than four clues and the body was taken to the local morgue. The relatives of the deceased also arrived at the site, who began to cry as soon as they saw the body on the floor.

On May 21, 2016, body parts of Víctor Hugo Díaz (30) and Jesús Emmanuel Marchán (27) were removed from five plastic bags of different colors. The two had been arrested seven days earlier and charged with the kidnapping and subsequent murder of a 7-year-old boy in Barcelona [a city in Venezuela].

Prison officers on duty yesterday said unofficially that they noticed something happening in cell B at 2 a.m. when they heard heartbreaking screams.

The uniformed officers tried to intervene, but the prisoners prevented them from doing so. In the cell, more than 10 people tortured Díaz and Marchán, whose feet, hands, legs and arms were gradually mutilated until they reached their heads. It is said that prisoners forced the pair of detainees to chew on severed limbs.

The incident was expected to last just over two hours. The prisoners then placed the bodies in five different colored plastic bags and handed them over to soldiers who tried to enter to stop the massacre. Díaz and Marchán, carried out the kidnapping with Yoleida Marisela González (31), Estelita Margarita Zapata (66), a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old boy, on May 7.

The victim was the little son of one of the merchants who create life on the Lido beach, located in Urbaneja. Díaz used his 10-year-old son to lure the child and then took him to Marchán's house, demanding a ransom of two million bolivars. The next day he took him to his mother Estelita's house and then took him to a vacant lot in the Cruz Verde sector of Barcelona, where he was murdered. Marchán and Yoleida González are believed to have been present at the murder.

The child's body was found by the residents of the sector based on the smell. On the same day, six people involved in the kidnapping and murder were arrested.
